UTI??

How do you know if you have one? What are the symptoms?? TIA

I have my second one in 2 months . The first one I just had to go to the bathroom literally every 10 minutes. Even after I went I still felt like I had to go. I also had a lot of pressure in my lower abs. This time I have all the same feelings but the baby is bigger and kicking my bladder. I just want to cry.
But the biggies are constantly having the urge to go even if you just went and pressure. I would call your doctor to ask for a urine dip. Or go to cvs and pick up th home test kit. Good luck

there are 3 major symptoms of UTI:

1) urgency: feeling like you have to go all the time
2) frequency: going more often
3) burning on urination

having said that, UTIs in pregnancy can look a little different, and some women can have no symptoms at all. but not treating a UTI can be dangerous, so if you suspect it even a little i would go to the OB and get checked out. it may also be yeast or vaginitis, both of which can also look different in pregnancy. definitely call your doc!

Definately go to the doctor to get a urine culture if you have burning. I have my 2nd UTI in a month(and Ive never had them before) and had zero symptoms. Apparently when you are pregnant the symptoms are often hidden..so if you have burning it is definately important to get a culture done before it goes to your kidneys which could be serious for you and the baby...
The only reason I knew I had them was because I get urine cultured at every doctors appt and they called and told me...otherwise I wouldnt have known.

Definitely go in and get a urine culture done. I had a UTI that turned into a kidney infection and it hurt a lot.

I'll call the doctor tomorrow...thanks everyone! I just feel like I call the doctor EVERY day!! they are going to be like 'here's that PITA Kelly again'
