Flying During third Trimester

I am looking for some advise! I have a wedding when I will be 32 weeks pregnant. The wedding is in Virginia, which is an hour flight. The drive is 6 1/2 hours.

My Dr. said no flying after 28 weeks, and a good friend who will be 34 1/2 weeks is going to fly and her Dr. said it was ok.

Just wondering if any one would fly in the last trimester.

I probably wouldn't especially if my Doctor told me not to. I think the airline also has restrictions on pregnany women flying.

I flew at 30 weeks and was fine and my flight was longer than 2 hours. Airlines don't stop you til 35 weeks I believe. My doc told me she didn't want me flying in the last month. I think you'd be fine on a 1 hour flight. Just drink lots of water and get up and move around after a half hour.

at 32 weeks, I would fly - especially on such a short flight.

My doctor told me that i could fly up to 35 weeks. I will be flying at 29 and 30 weeks - a 4 hour flight. She also told me that she flew to California when she was 28 weeks and had no problems.

Personally, i think if you are going to make the trip you should fly. I feel like 6 hours in a car could do your body much more damage than an hour on a plane. I would talk to your doctor again and ask exactly why (s)he doesn't want you fly.

My last flight was at 30 weeks. As long as you have had a normal pregnancy, I think you will be fine.

It depends on your condition and dr. beliefs. Typicially if you have a low risk (normal pregnancy) you can fly up to 36 or 37 weeks.

I will be flying at 28 and 31 weeks this year and i'm a high risk patient.
