Anyone get sicker in their 2nd trimester?

OK, I had ms (at night though-lol) for a few weeks in my first trimester, then it went away. I thought I was in the clear and now, for the past 2 wks. or so, it has come back w/ a vengance. Has anyone experienced this? I thought this would be a better trimester.

I would talk to your OB, (s)he maybe able to recommend something as some people are sick from before their BFP til they deliver. I have a very good friend who has a sensitivity to a chemical that is involved w/ the baby growing & my SIL has issues w/ a hormone put out by the placenta. I hope you feel better soon.

definitely talk to your doctor. I was sick at about 8 weeks and fairly consistenly but everyone told me it would go away at 12-14 weeks, never happened, it got worse and I am still sick today, going on seven months pregnant. In fact it got so bad, i now take zofran, and I still get sick....it can happen and I anticipate I will be sick until I deliver....not to scare you but it does happen unfortunately, hope you feel better

I didn't have much to complain about to begin with - probably got sick a couple times a week and a little nauseau every morning. Now, in my second trimester, it's a little more intense, but not too bad. My DH told my MD he thought my ms got a little worse, and she just said, "oh, really?" I guess that's b/c I didn't make a fuss about it - but if yours is unbearable - let your MD know!

I'm so glad you posted this! I was sooooo sick yesterday and was feeling upset/confused because yesterday I also turned 12 weeks. I too thought by this point I would feel better, but yesterday was by far the WORSE I've ever felt. It made me even a little paranoid that like if I don't feel better that's a bad sign or something ?? But it doesn't seem that way from what the previous posters are saying. So thanks for posting this! And here's to hoping you and I feel better soon!!!!!!!!

I am experiencing the same thing as well....however I wasn't sick at all in the 1st trimester!!

Now that I am in the 2nd I have gotten sick a few times, have been more and more nauseous, and have the worst worst food aversions ever!!

Thank you for the replies ladies. Just to clarify, during my first trimester I would get nauseous, for a few weeks pretty bad off & on all day, and lots of food aversions. I never actually threw up though. Now, the nausea is less frequent but when it comes, it's more intense and I threw up for the first time the other day. The food aversions are getting better though. I mentioned it to my dr. and he didn't seem to think it was unusual. Oh well, I guess if it gets worse & I cant take it, I'll talk to him again. Thanks again & to anyone experiencing bad ms hope it gets better soon!
