I AM NOT AN INVALID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG! Does anyone else need to inform their husbands / mothers / MILs / coworkers / bosses - WHOEVER - of this every once in a while?!?!! I actually just blocked DH on IM because I cannot take him today. I've been sick for like a week but it's not freaking pneumonia, it's a cold. I finally decided to go to the doctor today b/c I'm supposed to have friends over with young babies on Sat and I want to make sure I don't give the babies anything. Anyway, to go to and from work it'll be a little bit of a PITA but nothing horrific. He's been SO ANNOYING about it. He actually called his mother to essentially "tell on me" that I'm taking the trains back and forth. W T F?!?!?!?!?!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrr.

I had someone do this to me. I was carrying a plate of burgers or something like that outside and they were like oh my...you shouldnt be carrying that. It really annoyed me because it was done about 3 times that day.

I know the feeling!!

I was sick over the weekend and I had people SCREAMING at me to go to the doctor and get a prescription. I called my doctor, he told me to take Robitussen or some other OTC thing. I took 2 tylenol and I'm better. People made it seem like I had scarlet fever!!

My uncle flipped out when I lifted his suitcase into the trunk of his car - it was nearly empty, weighed less than a one year old child... what would I do if I were about to be a mom of 2 under 2?

People are insane.

Man I wish people would treat me like an invalid and come take care of me. hehe Tell them if they want to redirect their attention to send it my way. I'm happy to pretend to be helpless!

I mind it when people don't let me do ANYTHING...but I don't mind when DH cooks, cleans, Etc!!

I find it EXTREMELY annoying too! What do people think you're going to put yourself and baby at risk if they don't intervene? I'm going stir crazy and just told my mom I might go to a seminar tonight a whopping 20 blocks away and all of 2 miles from the hospital and she told me maybe I shouldnt and to be careful. I mean you know how strenuous personal finance seminars can be

It can get annoying.
I don't mind it when DH wants to get me water, or do the dishes, or clean something for me.
But we're planning on painting the nursery this weekend and he doesn't want me doing it. I said "I'll be standing and moving my arm up and down, how hard is that? I'll do the middle, you do the bending and up high". At first he didn't agree, but I told him i didn't want him to do it by himself. I'll SIT and do it if it makes you happy!

And when he doesn't want me lifting ANYTHING, even if its less than 20 lbs (which is my limit).

It gets really annoying really quick. However, it would be nice if someone would treat me like an invalid on a bus or subway and offer me a seat.
