Freddy update

Small one about his pension disability plan. We applied for his retirement disability and at first we were told that it could take up to a year to get a decision.

I found an email address for a case manager and started a relationship..good.

I found out today that a determination has been made but they can't tell me. I'm his POA and I wrote back. She told me that it has to be via mail. She couldn't even tell my brother if he called.

I'm pretty convinced that he was approved considering the government has approved him, but what a crock.

If he does get the approval it will be perfect timing since his pay will cease at the end of Oct. His ssd checks will start Oct 17.

All this proves to me is that the more you squeak, the more oil you get. What could have taken 12 months has taken 3.

I only hope now that I'm so convinced he was approved, that he actually is.

Keep squeaking folks..you will eventually get what you need.

Mom and dad are slowly taking over the tasks at hand with my guidance. They are in shock about the amount of work it really is. Today they talk to the social worker and the occupational therapist. They also have to make sure he gets his newspaper delivery and bring him some pizza and soda.

I hope he IS approved and that he continues to improve. I'm also glad your parents are now around to help.
