It seems too soon
But I want another dog around the house. I lost Holly not even a month ago now but I feel like something is missing and that is a pet.
Not sure how to go about it here. In California puppies are advertised in the newspaper and it's easy to find what your looking for.

Not sure because I've only found pups that were in the area. Maybe the $375 includes the fact that they would have to get her to NY? Looks like a really cute jack russell though

I don't think its too soon, A new pup won't replace Holly but it will replace that void in your home and heart. Go for it!

I agree with Nicole...it's not replacing the pet. It's replacing the void. Holly will always be your girl!
As a side, my mom always said she'd wait about a year to get another dog after my dog died. My dog was put to sleep June 12th and 2 days later she was at the pound.

It's not too soon. You are honoring you pet by getting another one. That puppy needs your love now.
We got Scout about 2 weeks after Ebony passed away. It was what I had to do.

They said I can pickup the puppy in Danbury, Ct. I looked that up and it looks like it's about 2 hrs away.

I really really like her but I found another one that I like even more but they adopt in the state of NJ only. So I'm asking around if anyone is located in the NJ that wouldn't mind adopting her for me.

I never adopted a dog before and it looks like the process is a little slower then I thought. So still waiting for the application to be approved.

I don't think I'll try adopting a pet on Petfinders again. They don't even bother notifying you by email if you're the one or not they picked for the pet. They just leave you hanging for weeks and it kind of leaves you believing your the one... Then your let down when you see online that the pet has been adopted.
