There is this woman that works here forever and she was made some kind of office manager of sorts..she is not re-shuffling space and since I work downtown 1-2 days per week, she wants me to give up my midtown desk..

She has always had it in for me. I think she didn't like my former boss and by association I fit into her dislikes.

I don't care which floor I work on, but midtown is such a better commute for me.

My downtown boss wants whatever works best for me. He's a really nice guy and is trying to help me.

I put a call into my boss that is in midtown and left a message since she will be calling him to get the scoop.

Alternatively, my downtown boss is fine with me working from home a few days a week. I have no problem with that whatsover, but I don't want to feel disconnected from my bosses or the culture. I'm in IT and a lot of people work remotely.
