What would you do? (kind of long)
I currently am still under the care of my OB/GYN and this is the last month with her before moving onto the RE (if I don't get pregnant this cycle).
This was also my 3rd round of Clomid CD5-9 and I had my HSG done on Friday. To my surprise, I got a High reading on my CBEFM on Monday (CD11), last cycle, I didn't get a high reading until CD17, got my +OPK the afternoon of CD19 and got my first Peak reading on CD20 and then again on CD21. I also had +OPK until CD21 I had my IUI on CD19. (First month on Clomid, I got my +OPK on CD15)
Today is CD14 and I got a 4th day of High reading on my monitor (last cycle, I got 3 days of high readings). We are supposed to do another IUI this cycle. But the problem is that their offices are closed on the weekends, so if I'm going to do IUI this cycle, it would have to be tomorrow. So, here's my dilemma...
I feel that I will probably get a +OPK either today or tomorrow, and will hopefully get a Peak reading on the monitor tomorrow morning when I test, we BD'd last night and are afraid to BD again tonight because we were told to abstain for 24 hours prior to IUI, but I'm afraid to miss our chance this month. I'm thinking of calling the office and making an appointment tomorrow for the IUI anyway, just to cover our bases. This way we can continue to BD over the weekend in case I don't get a +OPK or a Peak until Saturday. Or should I just forget about the IUI this cycle and try naturally again? I think I am + tomorrow, then I should ovulate sometime on Saturday, but even if I don't + until say, Saturday, then I should O on Sunday and we should still be good with the IUI being done tomorrow anyway. Does this sound okay, or would doing an IUI tomorrow be wasteful of one?
TIA!

Re: What would you do? (kind of long)
I'm not too familiar with the CBEFM, how does the reading correspond with when you actually O?
Like I know with a trigger shot, you actually O about 36 hours later...so you'd trigger on say Monday night and then do the IUI Weds morning to time it perfectly.
When you get the peak reading (or the + sign?) does that mean you will O in the next 24-36 hours? And you have not gotten that reading yet this month?
ETA: Does your DH have any issues?

It seems that the monitor correlates with the OPKs, meaning I get a +OPK and I also get a peak reading at the same time (or close to it). The CBEFM makes you test with FMU because it not only looks for the LH, but also estrogen levels. From what I have read about OPKs and from talking to my doctor, you will normally O 24-36 hours later. I tend to catch the beginning of my surge because I'm a POAS-aholic and test more than once a day.
DH does not have any issues

I don't know - I don't see how the IUI would hurt (and not BDing tonight), especially if you know you are not going to O for at least 24 hours from today if you get a + sign today. Then I'd BD like crazy all weekend to try to catch it. Make sense?
Good luck!

Re: What would you do? (kind of long)
I would get the iui before the weekend, but what concerns me is that you dr. office is not open on weekends. what if you ovulate on a saturday or sunday? I would go to an RE who specializes in infertility. All the clinics that i know of are open 7 days a week.

Yes, if I do not get pregnant this cycle, I already have my appointment with the RE scheduled for the 9th. My doctor wanted to do three months of Clomid - one natural cycle and then two IUI cycles before I go to the RE.
I just wanted to make sure I wasn't crazy and wasting an IUI as I'm pretty sure I will O over the weekend. My insurance only covers 6 lifetime IUI's so they are precious to me at this point!

Sperm will live around 3 daYS AS LONG AS YOU DON'T HAVE HOSTILE CEVRICAL MUCOUS. i HAVE ALSO READ Sorry for caps--research that says if you O more towards the middle of your cycle your eggs are most likely better quality than a late ovulator(not for everyone! but some) I would do the IUI on Friday and then BD all weekend.

Re: What would you do? (kind of long)
Thanks for your feedback! We're all set for tomorrow! I'm seeing a different doctor however... which freaks me out because I'm such a baby, and I really like my doctor, but she's on vacation this week! I know it'll be okay, but it just adds to my anxiety.
