Sunburn....What can I do about it?
So yesterday in my infinte wisdom I didn't put on any sunblock. I was at the Jets game and our seats are directly in the sun. Needless to say that I got burned pretty bad. As of right now below my nose and on my chin it is blistering up. I have been taking tylenol and using aloe(every 2 hours). I made an appointment with my Primary Care doctor for tomorrow. Is there anything I can do in the meantime for this? Thanks in advance.
PS. Don how great was the game? I had a great time and all the dolphin fans went home sad.

Drink lots of water and wear thin cotton layers until you heal. Also, to avoid looking like this remember the SPF next time.

Thank you. I will be sure to bring it with me next time. I guess it wasn't hurting because I was drinking a tad. Once I slowed down it started to feel bad. Guess either SPF next time or more alcohol.

Re: Sunburn....What can I do about it?
Put some aloe or vitamin E on the sunburn. Try not to put any lotion on it, because it keeps the heat in. Take an aspirin, it should dull some of the pain. Feel better!

Re: Sunburn....What can I do about it?
When I came back from the Bahamas, I had 2nd degree sunburn (never use spray on sun block!).
I used aloe vera every hour since it saturated into my skin so quickly.
I also found that I was itching uncontrollably, so DH went out to the drug store and bought an anti-imflammatory SPRAY for anti-itching and sunburns. It's a cool mist that you can spray on your sun burn spots every few hours as needed. This was my saving grace.
And as others stated - drink lots of water and if you're at home, take a damp wshcloth with cool water and lay it on the areas where your burned - it will help sooth the area.

Re: Sunburn....What can I do about it?
The vitamine E and aloe are great suggestions...but there is a difference between the natural version and what you find in the drugstore. You want to get something from a health food/drug type store...they have less additives and chemical that alter the true affects. Like a aloe plant is your best bet and pure vitamin E capsules.
Feel better...I know the pain all too well but do know that Advil helps a lot.
