Re: puppy help
Any local shelter, petfinders.com, or you can go to the AKC website and search for rescue sites of the breed you want - if you want a specific breed.
Good luck!

Good luck! ITA. Please do not buy from a pet store, as those dogs are Puppy Mill dogs and are never what they seem.
There are a ton of great puppies available for adoption.
Before adopting make sure that: 1- your home is ready to accommodate a learning, growing puppy;
2- you are aware of the financial commitment involved to raise and care for a healthy puppy;
3 - make sure that you are available to help your new puppy adjust to his/her new life;
4- make sure that your life plan for the next 15 - 20 years has room for a dog
Petfinder.com is a great resource. Also Bobby and the strays (a rescue org) is having a major adoption event. Also the Little Shelter in Huntington has a great pet matching program. They are very helpful in finding a great pup that fits your lifestyle.
PLEASE feel free to ask many pre-adoption questions here....there are some very very knowledgeable pet owners on this forum.
Good Luck!

Oh how I wish I could take that Lab. Mike has told me I would come home to mystuff and the 2 dogs on the front lawn DH said that for dogs 2, 3 and 4 Although if I went for dog 5 again, I think he might actually do it! Of course all 4 of my dogs only weigh half of your dog.
