Cat Owners
Does your cat drink a lot of water daily? How big is the water dish? Im going to take a trip to PETCO tomorrow. Simba's bowl is constantly being refilled. Any recommendations on a water dish?

Re: Cat Owners
we give our cat dry food and always have a bowl of water out for him.
I actually use the little glass pyrex bowls for his water. I think he drinks allot of it but he also plays with the bowls so he spills some of the water out!

Re: Cat Owners
It depends on what you think is a lot. Has it changed from what he used to drink? Cats will drink all throughout the day, but if he is drinking excessively, you should really get it checked out.

No. It hasn't changed at all. I think he just needs a bigger dish! Some of it probably does spill out too.. Maybe I need to get him a "Deeper" dish.
TY for your help.

Re: Cat Owners
tostito has a dish of water that is the same size as the bowl i keep his dry food in. I would say it is a lil bit smaller than the size of a soup bowl. He drinks ALOT.

YES. Mine are always thirsty. They will only drink from Casey's dish, the tap or their own little ceramic bowl. Image Attachment(s):

Re: Cat Owners
My cat doesn't drink a lot of water - but if yours does, get a decent size bowl

Re: Cat Owners
Mine drinks out of his own bowl which is kind of small and Misty's bowl if he wants more.

Re: Cat Owners
We got our cat one of those fountain waterbowls. She likes to drink it from the top of the slide instead of the bowl part.
We got it mostly to encourgage her to drink water b/c we only give her dry food and the vet said that since she's not getting the hydration from that at all, it might not be a bad idea.
At any rate, it holds a lot of water - and she loves it. ETA - and yes, she does seem to drink a lot.

Re: Cat Owners
I have this "water cooler" by Petmate Le Bistro for my 2 cats. Unfortunately, they don't drink very much, but I can't imagine any cat would drink all the water it holds. It's much better if your cat drinks a lot of water - less chance of UTI and such. Image Attachment(s):
