Dear Rubberneckers,
I sat in 45 minutes of traffic this morning with a throbbing bladder on Northern state parkway.
All because you dumb fu cks were intrigued by someone with a dented fender.
Perhaps you were mesmerized by the shiny police lights.
What? WHATS the appeal to seeing 2 people on the side of the road exchange insurance information?
Don't you putzes have JOBS to go to? Do you plan for extra rubbernecking time? Because I don't see the point in slowing down and lookng at that if you actually had SOMEWHERE TO GO!!!
How did we as a society become such nosey, bloodthirsty fools that the term "rubbernecking" was even made up for this imbecilic activity?
are your lives that boring that this is the highlight to your day, and you MUST back traffic up for miles to get a good glimpse at this???
I don't get these stuoid MoFos...

Re: Dear Rubberneckers,
I ran into the same thing on the LIE this afternoon. There were 2 unmarked cop cars sitting in the HOV lane just looking at people drive past and everyone had to slow down to almost a stop.

Re: Dear Rubberneckers,
Traffic is already backed up, I can't go very far so I am going to look to see what has been causing my delay.

Re: Dear Rubberneckers,
Ooooooooh, twinkly lights.....
What really gets me is when a cop pulls a car over and then everyone slows down. As if the cop is going to leave this person and jump back into their car so they can chase after you for speeding.

Re: Dear Rubberneckers,
I agree the traffic is very frustrating. However, you can get a ticket for doing the normal speed limit past an emergency vehicle/state trooper and it is for their safety...
- SENATE PASSES "AMBROSE-SEARLES MOVE OVER ACT" Legislation Would Protect Law Enforcement Officials and Emergency Workers
The New York York State Senate today passed the "Ambrose-Searles Move Over Act," sponsored by Senator Nick Spano (R-C, Westchester), to protect law enforcement officials and emergency workers by requiring motorists to move over or slow down when approaching a parked emergency vehicle with emergency lights flashing.

slowing down is ok, but actually coming to a full stop is what causes major backups
I can't tell you how many times I have seen people just stop to watch a state trooper issue a ticket!
