Re: Why cause drama? (Long vent again)

I know people, who I feel, live for causeing drama. I think that some people just want others to think that they know everything that is going on. They feel as if they need to "inform" others of news, or as I like to call it gossip about every last tiny detail, that in actuallity dosen't need a second thought! People like this crave being the center of attention. Chat Icon

Now that you know that your FIL is not hurt and totally understanding, that's what should matter. If your MIL brings it up again, cut her off at the pass, tell her that you and DH have already talked to your FIL and everything is just fine. There are ways to put her in her place, without causing a scene. Good luck.

Re: Why cause drama? (Long vent again)

I would have said EXACTLY what screenname "Puppylove" wrote to you.
Sounds like your mother in law needs alot of attention as does mine. Dont give it! When she begins drama like this say "yeah, we've been so busy..your right I think we will have him over for dinner" that would probably KILL HER! Maybe she either wanted to gosspi with you or make herself look like she KNOWS all thats happening. By you getting upset you are giving her the attention she craves. Personally, I also think her chain reaction through the ex, to the daughter, to her, to you is childish. If her ex needs to tell u something, then u should hear it from him not everyone else.

Re: Why cause drama? (Long vent again)

I didn't have a reaction to her when she gave me this info....I just said that we'll have to have him over....I think she just likes to start gossip...

Thanks girls for letting me vent.

Re: Why cause drama? (Long vent again)

If your FIL said he wasn't hurt, then the issue is closed. I think you MIL is just starting trouble.

LOVE Jared's new picture!!!!
