Painting HELP desperately needed

So my wonderful Chat Icon brother that promised to paint our new townhouse this past weekend so DH & I could move this coming weekend screwed us over.

DH has learned in a hurry how to paint (before this past weekend he had never picked up a paint roller), but he can't possibly go it alone. At 6 months pregnant, my ability to help is limited.

I need a very inexpensive handyman willing to work in Suffolk County that can paint.

Any referrals are appreciated.

I don't have any referrals, but is it possible to get a group of friends together and have a "painting party?" If you get a bunch of people to help, the painting will be finished in no time!Chat Icon

I have a great painter, might not be the cheapest, but he will do the job right.

Where in Suffolk are you?

Honestly?? I worked like a lunatic to schedule the closing for August so we could move in before October 1. That means getting enough finished by this weekend, so we can move next weekend. At this point I am willing to move in with the baby's room and one bathroom unfinished - but the rest of the place has to be done. The former owner was a single man. Need I say more?????

this might be worth a shot! we had friends that did this for their new house, and it was actually fun! we worked in "Shifts", so people came and went as they needed to, and other people took over. they had soda and snacks too! Chat Icon they were able to get the living room, dining room, master bedroom, master bathroom, and one of the guest bedrooms painted in a day this way!

Thank you my dear!! I got a wonderful FM from another LIF buddy and have reinforcements coming to help on Saturday! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

With any luck, between the stuff DH & I (I'm in charge of spackling and sanding) will be doing after work every night this week, and the help over the weekend, we will be able to move before the month is out!!!

Of course it means convincing DH it is OK to move if the baby's room and the two skylight tunnels aren't done, (skylight tunnels will absolutely require a professional) but I think I can tackle that discussion.

I'm sorry, I would help, but as you know, I'm 6 months too!

Yeah, if you can get a couple other people together, a painting party would be a good idea. Good luck!
