Bathroom repair/retile
Found out that the supply line from the wall to the toilet was leaking.... for months, apparently. Who checks there? Plus, we had some bottles and stuff there covering the damage being done. Anywho, we hated that tile anyway, so it was a good excuse to rip it out and put in some new tile. I did all the work myself, over two weeks. Luckily we have two bathrooms, so it was only inconvenient, not a hardship.
Now, the floor is solid again, much nicer tile, and I'm proud that I did it all myself...

Re: Bathroom repair/retile
After:
I still have some minor cleanup to do. Finish caulking around the edges. Cut some tiny pieces to put on the back side of the baseboard heating pipes, etc. But it looks pretty much done. (And, we can use the bathroom again!!!! ) Image Attachment(s):

Beautiful tile....Nice work!
Thanks. It really brightens up the room, plus it doesn't look so '70s....
Tile came from HomeDepot. I was also smart, and have a few extra, incase of breakage, or if we get central air/heating, and remove the baseboard heating, I can replace the tiles with the notches for the pipes.

Nice job.... Where did you get that tile?
HomeDepot. Nothing fancy. They have a huge selection. I never realized how many types of "light tan" you can have... It was under $2/tile, so it was pretty cheap for the materials. Plus, at that cost, I didn't stress about practicing on a few tiles. The first tile I played with, I just kept trying to cut straight lines with different methods. I eventually got a dry cutting diamond blade from Home Depot. Awesome tool for the job. Cuts really easily, and you can even grind sideways, so curves come out really smooth.
