Everything is giving me heartburn - UPDATE
I cant eat or drink anything without getting heartburn. Even water and ice tea are now giving me HB.
I take tums smoothies and they arent doing diddly squat.
I had minor HB in the 1st & 2nd tri but now it is horrible.
UPDATE
I called my dr. yesterday just to be sure and he told me "nothing but tums was allowed". I guess each dr. really is different. So me and Tums Smoothies are stuck together like glue for the time being.

ZANTAC is the best!!! you can get 75mg tablets and take one twice a day. it's fine to take in pregnancy.

I feel your pain. I did try Pepcid, but I thought the Tums worked better - more immediate relief for me when they work.

I strongly strongly recommend taking the TUMS b4 you eat anything. I found that this helped tremendously...I basically took them the minute I got up in the morning and then b4 each meal.

I ate TUMS like they were Pez candy! I would take one about a half hour before I ate and it seemed to help.

I took pepsid he min I woke up. It saved me!!!!!
My sister's OB gave her a perscription for something and it worked wonders.
Hang in there, it goes away the second you deilver.

i always thought tums were the only thing, but in the hospital they gave me maalox and the nurses and drs. said its not only fine to take when your pregnant but liquid is beter than chewables as far as relief goes!
