RH negative question
When I went through IVF, my RE let me know that I was RH negative and told me that if I ever had any bleeding, to call the doctor to get a shot of rhogam. Last night, I woke up at 3 am to use the bathroom and there was a tiny bit of pink on the toilet paper (sorry tmi). I was so worried, and finally fell back to sleep at about 4. When I woke up with my alarm, I was happy to see that the "pink toilet paper problem" had gone away. I am still scared, but from everything I read today, I'll just mention it at my appointment next week.
My question is... is that enough "blood" to call the dr. for the shot? If yes, can I wait until my next appointment, or should I call immediately?

Re: RH negative question
not to be gross or too personal, but was it #2? b/c i get the red blood every now and then when i go #2.
imo, if it wasn't #2, then i think if it was a tiny amount and it went away then you should be ok.

Re: RH negative question
I would call and check with the MD. I had a smidgen of blood at about 8wks, and to be safe my MD sent me to the ER for the shot (they don't carry the shot at their office). He may have been overly cautious, but it can't hurt to check.

I would call the doctor. That is what they are there for.

I would call the doctor just to be safe. I'm also RH Negative and that's what I would do.

Re: RH negative question
If you had just a little spot of blood then I wouldn't worry too much about. I am RH negative too. I had to get the shot when I miscarried and when I gave birth and also in the begns of each pregnancy. You can call to be certain but if it's a spot I don't think it's a big deal.

Re: RH negative question
i would call your doctor. getting the rhogam can't hurt, but not getting it is potentially harmful, so they may want to give it to you.

Re: RH negative question
I am RH neg too and the dr told me I would only need the shot if I had a miscarriage or their was a trauma/accident of some sort and at birth. But I would call you doctor to be sure.
