strep B test
So I am positive - have to go to the hospital as soon as my water breaks 
what if my water doenst break???
and if it does does that mean I cant walk around while having contractions?? cause i'll have the iv???

 Like if they induce you? Then they will break your water.
It is really no big deal at all, plenty of people have it.

Like if they induce you? Then they will break your water.
It is really no big deal at all, plenty of people have it.

well I hear that some times you can be in labor but your water may not break and then they will break it for you..

Yes they do, if the baby does have it it will be givin antibiotics too, and will stay in the hospital till he/she is better!
My dr put me on an antibiotic before I had my c-section just to make extra sure I didn't pass it.

not to worry, maybe they will give you an iv and they can put it on wheels. dont worry i was in the hosp not for that and i had to have my water broken by the dr.it will be fine.

I was induced and if that is the case, you cannot walk around anyways....I remember the meds stung alot when they were placed in the IV...I wound up with a c-section so they never broke my water....well I guess they must've broke it on the operating table but I did not know

The antibiotic hurts like heck so make sure you ask for some ice packs to numb up your arm!

My water broke & I went in & was walking around most of the time (until epidural).
It's annoying walking w/ the IV (& esp. going to the bathroom) but you can do it.
I was in labor for about 16 hours & so had major antibiotics. They do test the baby afterwards.
It's not a big deal.
Also re: the above poster, the IV didn't hurt me at all.
