Spinoff to pet in car....question

I am getting a new car soon, I hope! There is a dachshund decal that I really want to buy for the window. Proceeds go to rescue, so it's all good.

I'm kinda wondering if the decal will lead people to believe that I've left my pet in the car and if someone wants to steal a dog, would they break in? I almost never leave my dog in the car but does my car become a target? Also, is it bad to have a decal that can be a conversation starter, b/c I may not want to talk to strangers who will ask about the decal?

I haven't really had a car that I decorated with my own little touches since college!!!!

This is the decal I want. It is 5 inches by 8 inches (longer than it is tall b/c it's a wiener dog!). It comes in several colors but I am undecided on color.

Omg, I love it for your weiner dog!!!! Chat Icon

I don't think it will lead people to think that you left your dog in your car, only to believe that you have a dachshund. Yes, it might be a conversation starter, esp since the proceeds go to animal rescue. But I don't think anyone would see your car as a target to break in, but then again I don't think like a crook so it's kind of hard to figure how they're going to interpret it!!

The thought crossed my mind that not many people want to steal a poorly behaved wiener dog, as much as *I" think he's great!!!!

i think youre looking wayyyy too deeply into this.

get teh decal!

no one will think he's in htere. and if they DO want to steal your dog, i would hope they would look inside before doing so.

I've had a Weimie magnet on the car forever and noone has bothered Misty in the car.
Probably because they are afraid of her.Chat Icon

Is it detachable, Kerie? If so, get it and you can always remove it during certain trips/
