vacations?
Anyone have any good ideas where to go on vacation with a 5-6 month old?

You can go pretty much anywhere with a newborn. I just wouldn't fly too far, only because infants tend to act up on long flights.
Once the baby is here, I'm not going to be one of those moms that let's the baby dictate where I go. Except for maybe Vegas. No need to bring a baby there.

my plan is to stay in the US for the first year, so that if my baby gets sick i am familiar with the health care system and can get the help i need quickly.
