Spinoff to Friends
What are the technical benefits of having "friends"? I currently don't have any, so I can't tell. Does it tell you when they are on-line or something? Does it make it easier sending the FMs? I've been doing pretty good for almost a year without any, so I'm just wondering if it matters?

Is there a way to know you have invites, or do I just have to check every few days? I didn't see an indicator now, so I'm guess that's what I have to do....

I'm pretty sure you can click on My Family, then on My Friends and it will show any pending invites. I couldn't get my e-mail for awhile and I saw a pending friends request there.

I accepted all the invites.... thanks.  It looks like I do have to manually check once in a while. Not a big deal, just a few more clicks.
You learn something new every day....

OMG. I'm so glad I read this post. I had no idea how to check to see if I had friend invites. I've had some pending for over a YEAR!!!!  Oops!

I apparently invited you twice.  I just tried inviting you, but apparently I already have a request pending!
I get email notifications on the rare occasions I get friend requests.

Sorry it took so long to accept....
I turned off the email notifications for stuff, but it's nice to know that there is some sort of notification. I'll just check every once in a while.
