Missing gift
I had my shower over a week ago, and there is still a gift that was purchased that we did not receive. I have no idea who could have bought it for us! It seems like everyone we invited has given us a gift. Isn't that strange?

The same thing happened to us. Did you have any guest that you invited and they did not show up at the shower? I am thinking that this maybe the case with us also.

I did have a handful of people that didn't come. But I think we got at least a card or something from each of them. I am clueless on this one. I guess I will have to wait and see.

could they have changed their mind on the gift, and returned it, buying something else, without it coming off the registry? i know this happened with one item at my shower....

Maybe someone bought something extra to give you when the baby is born? I've done that and held it aside so i can bring something to the hospital or the house.

Either they could have done the above
or they purchased something then changed their mind and returned it and got something else.
This happen to me.
I didn't receive my diaper bag I registered for and it was taken off my registry.
I found out later, it was purchased by my friend, but then she returned it when her and her mom decided to get me the PNP instead.
When someone returns something that was taken off of your registry - they don't put it back on the registry

This happened to me with my wedding registry, but the gift actually wasn't for us at all. It was something someone purchased and accidentally got listed on our registry.

Yes...in fact the same thing is going on w/me which is annoying b/c someone bought me bottles, dont know who, and I want to make sure I have them before the baby comes!!! I want my gift

Glad I am not alone. I missing my booster seat. Baby doesn't need it any time soon, but I will pick it up if I need to. I just don't want to go around asking...hey did you get me that?

this happened to me at my bridal shower. turns out some women i work with bought it for me and gave it to me at my work shower.

I was thinking the same thing! It happened to me with my Bridal shower and then I got that gift as part of my wedding gift.

Maybe someone who wasn't invited to the shower got you a gift and hasn't sent it yet. We purchase items off the registry for DH's friends' wives whose showers I'm not invited to.
