Not only is my work partners daughter pregnant, but one of my closest friends is 13wks 2days along. My best friend, who thought VERY hard about an abortion, has a 5month old daughter, and my sister who's only 19 might be pregnant. I knew going into my marriage that Joe had a vasectomy and that we would have to save for the reversal and even then it would be a long hard road, but come on..........this is killing me I just want to curl up into a ball and cry. I know Joe can't give me a baby right now, but I can't help but wish that each month when my period is 2 or 4 days late that maybe just maybe he had 1 swimmer. I'm sorry it's just a really hard night for me. I quit smoking, cut my caffine, started walking and am taking prenatals, calcium, zinx, omega 3, and folic acid to start to prepare my body. i guess what kills me most is that none of the above pregnant women are married or even in a serious relationship. 3 were 1 night stands and the other 2 hate the fathers. Sorry for the drama but sometime I jsut need to vent about how unfair life feels right now. I can't even imagine how hard this would be if we were actually trying to get pg. My heart goes out to all of you!

i totally, totally understand where you're coming from! its just so unfair when these people in less-than-ideal situations can get pregnant so easily, but people like us who are married and settled... can't!
i have a genetic disorder which basically makes my ovaries unformed, so i produce no eggs. basically, i have zero chance of getting pregnant, so our only option is adoption. not that theres anything wrong with it... but i just feel like its going to be such a PROCESS! not that having a baby naturally isnt, but at least they can spend one night in bed and have a baby 9 months later. for us to adopt, we're going to have to have monts of home studies by a social worker, a writen "biography" of our childhoods, referral letters from our friends, health reports, financial reports, etc, etc,etc.... i just sometimes feel like eveyrbody who wants kids should have to go through what we're going to go through to adopt one.... its just not fair!

I hear you. I had the day off today and did a little food shoppping in the morning. Nothing but moms and kids everywhere. I even saw someone I went to HS with and she had two kids with her. My life just feels so meaningless and trivial in comparison.

I get down too some times hearing about people having children so easily and not in stable loving relationships. Like Nicole Richie really annoys me. DH and I want and can provide for a child, and we have been trying for several months now with no pg. It stinks and it's very frustrating.

But to the pp, it made me really sad to read that you feel your life is meaningless. Don't lose hope or feel your life is meaningless because you are having difficulty! And you never know what another person's life is really like. That girl from HS could be miserable stuck in a loveless marriage.
