I just got back from L&D....
I was there since noon.  Over the weekend, I started feeling extreme pressure and it hurt to walk. I called the doctor this morning and they told me to go to L&D.
They saw me right away and I was not having and contractions and I am not dilated, but they told me I have a short cervix(whatever that means). Then I waited literally like 6 hours for the doctor to call the hospital so I could be released.
Still not sure why I am in so much pain, but they said its probably the baby growing and I might be dehydrated.
I feel better that I am not dilated at all, bit its still a little disturbing that I am in so much pain....

if your cervix is shorter than it has been, that means that you're effacing. i don't see how that relates to the pain  but i hope you feel better!!

Thanks! I have my regular doctor appt on Friday so I hope to learn more then!
Now I am just trying to drink all the water I can!
