Do you like this? and what color should I get?

I need some furniture for my entryway. Right now it is extremely boring, with beige walls and tile, and white trim and white closet doors. I plan to get a nice area rug to add some bold colors as well...

I love this from Pottery Barn but it's a little out of my budget right now:


I just found this one at JCPenney...I have a coupon code, so with shipping it's only costing $250 for both the shelf and bench (cushions and baskets INCLUDED ) which is a fraction of the price of the set at PB.
(Any ideas as to what color I should get? It comes in black, white, mahogany and red....thanks for any opinions you can give me!)

I too love this from Pottery Barn. Just like you I thought it was expensive and plan on buying from this vendor on ebay, amishcrossing on Ebay

I personally like Mahogany but you should make your decison based on your home's color scheme.

eta Just reread your post about JC Penney. The Amish vendor's prices aren't as good as JC Penney.

p.s. I have also seen similar items on Overstock and Target.

I like it and it sounds like a great deal at JCP!

What are the rest of your furnishings like? I like the idea of black - it's a nice contrast to the wall color and trim and more modern. If your tastes lean more towards traditional, I would go for the mahogany.

I also love that from PB!! That bottom pic is the one from JCP?? It looks exactly the same!!
I would get the mahogany color, but it really depends on the colors of your house.

I would lean toward the black or mahagony but that's my personal preference not to mention, those colors would go better with what I have.

I think since the entrance way is so neutral, you really could go with any of the mentioned colors.

If you're really feeling bold, I'd say go for the red if it's like a rich barn red.

I wish my entry way was big enough for something like this. I have always really liked it. I was recently at the PB Outlet and I think they had some there.

I love it, and if it matches your home, I would get the mahogany.
