At 28 weeks
Are the baby's movements really strong? I feel her moving however very rarely am I able to feel it outside. The movements are not that powerful either...more like gas bubbles or fluttering. Is this normal?

Re: At 28 weeks
i really think it depends on the baby and the placenta. some babies are more acitve than others to begin with, and some moms can feel their babies more or less depending on the position of the placenta.
my baby moves constantly, and his movements are so strong that my whole belly bounces up and down. i never gave it a second thought until i was hospitalized with contractions and the nurses kept on commenting on how crazy my baby was! so i think my experience may be a little extreme... but overall there seems to be a lot of variance, and the more important thing is if there is a change relative to the baby's normal movement pattern.

Re: At 28 weeks
i agree w/pp - my placenta's in the front so it's cushoning the blows, but they're not as obvioius as they once were. i had a nst yesterday and he was moving even though i only felt 1 of the bumps...ask ur doc just to make sure, but i know my kicks have changed due to positioning..

Re: At 28 weeks
Mine are sometimes strong. Last week I was feeling them a lot but not too strong and not too consistent (DH couldn't feel them) then for 2 days I barely felt anything at all. Then last night I laid down to go to bed and jumped at how strong the kicks were, DH even jumped when he felt them because it was as if this kid was trying to break out through my belly button!
I agree with the pp that shifting can totally affect the strength of the kick. There are times I am having a sono or listening to the HB at the drs office and I know the baby is moving but I am feeling nothing.

Re: At 28 weeks
Ahhh, I'm glad you posted about this. I was a little concerned because I am feeling a lot of movement, but it's not as strong as it was a week ago or even two weeks ago. The movement also seems to be lower in my stomach area instead of on my right side, so I guess the baby's position has shifted.

Re: At 28 weeks
I'm right where you are and the baby has been consistently moving, just not always strong. I picture her kind of just rolling around or doing a little shuffle rather than kicking or punching. Sometimes I get the kicks. Sometimes I feel them low, some high, some way to the side. The baby can still float around so it can vary as to where they are kicking. As long as you feel movement I think you are fine. Some babies just don't move as much.
