Something else to pack for the hospital...
....EAR PLUGS!!!!!!
You may be very happy that you did.
I very much wish that I had a set of ear plugs in my bag!!!!
Hospitals are not quite places in the least and even if you have a private room you may be subjected to every noise going on in the place....
Definitely grab a set of ear plugs the next time you hit CVS or Walgreens.

O yea! That reminds me of my friend who said the woman near her, also in labor, was screaming and it made her more nervous about the pain to come. Ear plugs would have definitely helped blocked it out!

thanks good idea!!! i still want to get a nice robe or something for over the hospital gown when people come to visit? where can i look?

I have to find one, too.
About the ear plugs, I packed mine!!! When I had surgery I got the idea from my support group website. As it turned out, my family and my visitors were the loudest people around but I still used the earplugs to help me sleep.
