Has anyone?
Has anyone had their hair highlighted during pregnancy? I have been hearing mixed things about that, I am very over due for a touch up!!!javascript:FEmote(' ');

yes I have had all throughout my pregnancy my doctor and hairdresser said it is okay because it does not touch the scalp

At my 17 week appointment I asked my DR if I could get my hair hi-lighted and she told me to wait two more months. I know other people who have done it and had no problem but even my hair dresser said she would feel uncomfortable doing it. What a PITA!

I'm going to have mine highlighted around 20 weeks. I won't have the toner though, but I usually don't anyway.

My doctor (at 9 weeks) told me that it was perfectly fine for me to dye my hair. I did it once early in my second trimester and will be having it done again in about a week to get rid of the grays for my shower.
(The only reason I haven't gotten highlights is because I am on bed rest so my mom has been doing my color at my house!)

 I had it highlighted at 5.5 weeks. My salon uses Aveda so it's all natural and highlighting doesn't touch your scalp (though I have to be honest and say I did get the glaze too  ). It's not the days of peroxide any longer - I personally feel that if you go to a reputable salon and tell your hairdresser what's going on, it's fine.

Yes, I had it done the week before I found out, then again in week 16 and week 24 and am doing it again tomorrow at week 35.
Honestly, hairdressers have babies too and their babies have no higher risk of issues. My cousin has two healthy children and worked with chemicals for both pregnancies.

I had my highlights done @ 14 weeks. It didn't touch my scalp though.

Yes, I had my hair highlighted during my pregnancy. I waited to the second trimester to do it.

I had my hair highlighted and colored the day before I found out. My dr. says it's fine because they use safer chemicals nowadays. I plan on getting my hair colored again next Saturday (I'll be 15w).
