How do you watermark a photo?

I'm going to sell some bags and am not sure how to do it...thanks

Depends on how you want it to look. The simplest way would be to load the image into Paint in windows, click on the A box, for writing words, click on the bottom box of the menu to make the background transparent, then select a box to type in, and type the watermark you want. You can change the font, size, and color.

You can get fancier watermarks by using bigger tools, like Photoshop, or GIMP

You're basically just writing text over the image so other people can't swipe the image. Depending on what the image is, and what it's for, you can have a semi-discreet watermark on the side of the image, or a blatant, bold watermark across the center of the image.
