Nutrition requirements

Wow, creating a meal plan, and making sur eto get all the required amounts of everything is rediculously difficult.
This is harder than dieting.

Here is what I have planned to eat for today. If you have any suggestions- maybe something I am missing- please let me know!

Breakfast:
1 egg scrambled with Fat Free cheese, on whole wheat toast
2 strips facon
Glass of OJ

Snacks:
Banana
Yogurt

Lunch:
Flax wrap with veggies, Morning Star Chick'n patty, fat free cheese.
celery and carrots

Snacks:
Raisins
Plum
Soy Nuts

Dinner:
Brown Rice with Kidney beans, peppers, tomato, cheese, sour cream.

Dessert:
Glass of chocolate soy milk.

Does anyone have any input/ tips?

Re: Nutrition requirements

I am on a diabetic diet and one of the things I was told was to have a meat or fat with your carbs to counteract the effect ... so maybe add 6 almonds to your mid morning snack.

Update:

That was waaaaaaay too much food. Chat Icon
I couldn't eat dinner, and almost vomitted while making DHs.

I tried, for one day, to do it right, and today I had Quiznos for lunch. Chat Icon

Re: Nutrition requirements

Yeah.

When I was 9 weeks PG, this was my meal:

Breakfast:

Glass of water

Throw up for 30 minutes

Breakfast take 2 - banana and toast

Throw up for 30 minutes

Gave up on breakfast

On the way to work - saltines

Pull over the side of the road, throw up again

Lunch - whatever I can get in me. 2-3 bites tops.

throw up for 30 minutes

You get the idea....

Cailen is very healthy - I hardly got anything in me that had any nutritious value until I was almost 6 mts pregnant - no joke!!!!

ETA - MEAL plan. Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Nutrition requirements

I can barely eat anything with this pregnancy and the baby is doing fine so far.

With my others I focused on getting the most fruit and veggies per day. I made sure I ate enough whole grains. I think if you try too meet every requirement its just too much food
