Are you/did you find out-poll

the sex of your baby to be? DH and I have been discussing this. Please vote and if possible why you chose what you did.

Yes!!! Next Monday, I can't wait!!

I don't need anymore surprises! I just want to know. I don't like most unisex stuff...or the color yellow.

there was no one major reason why we chose to find out the sex... i guess we just wanted the surprise sooner! i definitely don't regret finding out. i've liked being able to buy boy-specific stuff and to create a boy's nursery. i also feel like knowing the sex has helped me to bond with my baby, which has been important since my pregnancy has been a little stressful (lots of morning sickness, and now bed rest).

Yes we did. We were not going to because we wanted the big suprise. Well when we found out together at the level II it was still a big suprise for us.
Knowing makes planning, decorating and preparing so much easier for us.
Everyone will have their own thoughts and opinions on this, do what make you and DH happy.

1. We won't, we have a 1 bedroom apartment right now, so it's not like we'll have a nursery to decorate.

2. I don't mind yellow or green clothes, the baby won't care what color he/she is wearing-they'll just be spitting up on the clothes anyway.

3. We think of finding out at the birth as an extra surprise at the end, like a little surprise present that we'll be waiting for.

Yes we found out. Here is my main thought on it...i figure this is the biggest change thus far in mine and DH's life. If i can get a leg up on it i want it!!! I guarantee she will "surprise" me a million times in her/my life!!!

1- I think its the best surprise I can ever get...and the only time that you truly can be surprised.

2- My boss' wife told me it gave her more strength to push the baby out....the anticipation of finding out. I thought that was cute.

We decided not to find out. Here are some of our reasons:

- I love all the speculation about what we are having and why people feel its one sex over the other
- this is our first so as I told a friend, I dont have either of the set so it doesn't matter, I would want everything generic anyway so it will work for the next baby.
- We only plan on having 2 so I wanted to wait for this one and then find out early for the next, to have both experiences
- My husband says girl and I say boy so I think its fun to have the bet with him for the next few months.
- I love tradition, and love knowing that I will be finding out in the same way my mom did and my grandmother did, etc.
- Honestly I really want to be there that day giving birth and hear the Dr. say "Its a ....."

I can't wait to find out. Everyone speaks of losing out on the suprise but when the sono tech says "It's a...." it WILL be a suprise; just a few months earlier.

i found out with both kids. and it had NOTHING to do with painting the room, buying clothes or anything like that. I just needed to know and wanted to start calling the baby by the name we had choose for him or her. good luck in whatever you decide

We are finding out, this wednesday in fact.

Reasons:

too impatient to wait

i like to be prepared

it is a surprise no matter when u find out

i do not like yellow and green

yes, we found out! I am a total planner and the green/yellow was not going to cut it for me . The room had to be totally redone, regardless as that room has not even been painted in almost 8 years that I have lived here.

Plus, even knowing for 7+ weeks now, we still can't even agree on a name!

We found out. It was not really about being "planners." We both really wanted to know. It helped me through the early and stressful points in my pregnancy. I could count down to when I would find out!

We did because:
1. I'm impatient
2. Because we would have been equally surprised had we found out earlier or later
3. To shop !

We did not find out & I have to say it was the best thing to hear the nurse scream, "it's a boy!" in the operating room.

we wanted to find out..We figure whether you find out early on or when you deliver its still a surprise...
I wanted to know especially to know the colors to shop for

I completely and totally did NOT want to know. I found out by accident, and rather than being happy I am disappointed and sad all the time that my delivery room surprise is no more.

We will probably find out, I am way too nosy and impatient to wait, we might not tell everyone though, haven't decided yet.
