St. Charles visitor's hours
Does anyone know St. Charles visiting hours? Also, how do the visiting hours work for grandparents? Are they extended a bit? I know that they are strict about the visiting hours, which is one thing I do like. I think our families are under the impression they can come and hang out all day and I would like to be able to give them more of a guidleine for visiting. Thanks!

This is correct, but the 2-4pm is also used for immediate family visits as well.
I called St. Charles when a friend had given birth so I knew what the hrs were as well.

Re: St. Charles visitor's hours
These are correct. However, almost every room you pass by during the 2-4 visiting hours had visitors other than the baby's grandparents or baby's siblings. I had my sister and my BIL both there during those hours both days I was there and everyone was fine with it (nurses). I think it can vary. I did have a roommate too, not a private room.
ETA: Unless you REALLY want others there during the 2-4 hours, I'd tell them all to come from 7-8pm. But if there's 1 or 2 people you'd like to hold the baby while you're there (like my sister & BIL for example), I'd have them come if you're comfortable with it.

I just got home from St.Charles and I had other people in my room from 2-4 other than grandparents and so did many others. I had a private room so I'm sure I got away with more (my neices and nephews came up btwn 2&4) but for the most part they don't really bother you.

Re: St. Charles visitor's hours
I lucked out when I was at St Charles - I ended up with no one else in my room (it wasn't a private room)
But let me tell you - yes they are strict with the 2-4 hours - but they did not care who was in the room.
We had sooooooo many people in my room during 2-4 - we had about 15 people in my room during that time
