What should I do for my neighbors?
We just found out last night that one of our neighbors sons (he's 17) has to have heart surgery on Wednesday.
Should I make a tray of food for them? When should I bring it over? Is there anything else that I should do?

I would definately bring food over. Maybe Tuesday evening, assuming they may not be around much for a few days after that. It's a thoughtful gesture, and it I'm sure it will be appreciated.

I would bring something over for dinner when they come home from the hospital.

I don't know how close your block is but we have a "block" phone book with everyone's numbers so maybe you could do a food chain to get them meals all week too.
