pains

every so often i am getting sharp pains then it goes away..

could it be the start of contractions? my water has not broke but down in my lower belly i am getting the pains.. should i keep an eye on it?

i first started these pains around 7ish tonight and now i am getting them back again..

or

is it just the baby moving down? and getting ready. this past weds the dr said i am 50 % effaced i will be starting 38 weeks tomorrow..

Re: pains

I don't know since I have never been in labor myself, but I saw other people post about it. Apparently if they get better when you change position or walk it is not the real thing. Otherwise, maybe. Good luck!

Re: pains

I've been having those darn pains too. I was told it was the last of the stretching as baby is really growing now. (well, obviously mine is growing a bit faster than others Chat Icon ) Are your pains in one specific area? Almost as if you got stabbed? Then the next pain is in another (or the same) area? That's how my quick pains are. They are nothing like the contractions for me.

Re: pains

You *should* feel contractions higher in your abdomen. Lower pains are usually stretching- which could be a good sign as maybe the baby has dropped.
