Online/Instore shopping

Why is it that the prices on line do not equal the prices in the store?
I'm looking at a registry that I printed out at the store. And I'm comparing to it the one on line and they have different prices.

This also happened to me with Target.

Does anyone know whyChat Icon

You don't have to pay for shipping in the store. At least that's my theory. I find sometimes that prices are cheaper on line but then you add the shipping and tax and it comes out to be the same price as in the store.

I don't know. I had something weird like that, too. I wanted to buy my mom a camera at circuit city. Oline it was $90, but in the store it was $100. I showed them the ad at the store and they had me go to a computer, buy it online and have it as an instore pick up. I waited 5 minutes and they gave it to me. Oddest thing ever, but it saved me $10. I would agree with this, but one item is $179.00 in store and $299 on line!
And some things are cheaper on line than in the store. Chat Icon

But I do like what the other poster did. Buy it on line for in store pick up. Good Idea.

Maybe b/c there is less storage space in the store and to get rid of it they need to reduce the price?

I'm so annoyed w/JC Penney's registry system.

I printed out a registry in the store. Bought 3 gifts, gave the girl the registry, she scanned the papers and the items are STILL on the list on lineChat Icon

As are some other items that I know people purchasedChat Icon Chat Icon and a big thumbs down for JC Penney if we had that icon.

OK vent over..sorry!
