There is a deiffernce between a Level II and a 3D sono, right??
I think a level II is just a more detailed sono, and the 3D is where you can actually pretty much "see" the baby...is that right?

The level II is a test where they take a bunch of measurements of the baby. They do not take these meausrements while the machine is in 3D mode. And a lot of Dr's that do the level II (usually your normal obgyn does not do it) have a 3D machine.

exactly, level II is so they can check the baby in detail and 3d is more for "fun" where you can see the baby up close and see them moving around...here are some pics from my 3d sono at 28 weeks or so

The Level II is when they check all the organs, umbilical cord, size, etc. I am not sure if there is a medical reason for the 3D one.

When we went for our Level II the doctor also took some 3D shot for us, which was fun because we are opting to not get the 3D/4D sonos usually done later around 30 weeks.
