Re: How much are you spending on furniture???
Hopefully not much. We are borrowing a bassinet, crib and maybe a changing table. I might just have to get a dresser, but we are in an apt. too and I would rather wait to buy furniture for the baby later when we have a house and when I need a toddler or youth bed.

where did you get it?
I am going to order the Bonavita Cabana set in the same exact pieces and it's about $1800.

Re: How much are you spending on furniture???
We actually were lucky because my MIL bought it all for us except the glider so all together I think the furniture totalled around $1100 and then my best friend bought us the matching toy chest.

Geez.. the set I want is almost 3k
Its Natart Verona...
Its the only one I liked and I can use the crib for the next baby and buy a todler bed to go with the set....
ahhh it better last me 2 kids!
Not sure if you know but Natart is a min. of 16 week wait. I wanted a Natart set also but when I went to purcahse the furniture the lady at the store convinced me to get another brand and I am glad I did because I didn't have 4 months when I ordered it.
To the OP, my parents bought my DS's set which was a little over $3K and the crib turns into a full size bed and I do not plan on buying him other funiture. For DD we spent $2k and the crib also turns into a bed. I think if you buying quality furniture that will last then I see nothing wrong with spending it if you have the means to.

Through Direct Buy, my cousin is a member. Although the prices of the furniture is great (no piece was over 400)....they nail you with S&H. However, it was still less than BBB, so I went for it. I looked online and everyting, could not find it cheaper, maybe I should have tried a North Carolina store???

Ah ha!! Direct Buy strikes again....we almost joined that's why I say that.
Well, Sukons said they would take 10% off and their shipping is only $60 I think, so I guess there's not too much difference....thanks!

Re: How much are you spending on furniture???
I think ours came to $3500, but it is a gift from the IL's. We got crib, dresser/bookcase, nightstand, bed conversion kit, mattress and glider. But it will be his furniture for his whole childhood. We got Munire.

What pieces are you getting and how much are they....we want the crib and dresser from belini, its gonna be 1600 for the 2 with tax and delivery, is this nuts???
We ordered ours from Bellini and the total was $2100. We got the crib, the three draw dresser with the door on the side, the mattresss pad and the changing top. We looked at many stores and the we felt that the quality of Bellini's was better then the other stores and they were maybe 100-200 more expensive then the other stores.
We also got 20% off b/c of there 25th Anniversary

Re: How much are you spending on furniture???
Dh and I paid $900.00 for our bonavita crib and mother hubbard changing table/dresser combo. We paid $55 for our glider on clearance at Toys R us. Thank goodness we had coupons for the furniture, or we would have spent easily another $200.00. It really adds up.

Re: How much are you spending on furniture???
My in-laws got us all the furniture for baby's room. We got a Munire set (crib, dresser, hutch/dresser combo) and a glider/ottoman all from Behr's. With the mattress and delivery I believe it was about $3600.

I am so naive. I hadn't thought the nursery was going to cost that much to furnish. I'm freaking out over here.
