Here's a funny for you...
Firtst for a little background information. B/c of circumstances beyond my control I had to switch doctors at 32 weeks...B/c of my history I had a little bit of trouble finding a doctor that was willing to take me on as a patient..Thanks to a member of our LIFamilies I did find a doctor that I am very happy with.
OK so I went to me first appointment with this new doctors office at 32 weeks. I have my records in hand...I am obviously pregnant!!!! (please look at my preggo album for confirmation of this)...Doctor performs sonogram to check cervix and assess the baby...
OK...
So I get my EOB from my insurance company the other day. They didnt approve something so I had to call them and correct it. While on the phone I asked the women about a couple of "LAB" charges that were on my bill as part of that first doctors appointment, at 32 weeks. One was for:
A PREGNANCY TEST!!!!!!!!!
As per insurance guidelines the doctors office is obligated to perform a pregnancy test, on all new patients, to confirm pregnancy!!!!!
I guess the swollen belly..and large fetus wasnt enough for them!!!!!
