Re: swelling.
I'm not doing anything. It is really uncomfortable and annoying. The only relief I get is when I put them up at night.
ETA: I thought about putting ice packs on them at night- dont know if that would help, but it might be worth trying!

Re: swelling.
I did try ice packs the other night. I'm not really sure that it helped a whole lot with the swelling but DARN it felt good on my hot lava feet!

Re: swelling.
the only thing that seems to bring the swelling down a tiny bit for a while is when i sleep overnight with them elevated on 2 pillows which in turn is awkward/uncomfy for me so there goes that! its ridiculous!

Re: swelling.
I'm with you. I just try and sit with my feet elevated every few hours. The ankles never seem to go down, but the rest of the swelling by the toes does. I've pretty much given up at this point.

Re: swelling.
I tried a cold washcloth last night with my feet up and later i asked my DH to massage them to get the blood flowing. it seemed a little better. Its this darn heat. i am not counting eveyday to the EDD.

Re: swelling.
I actually picked up a few pair of socks that are designed to promote circulation. They are marketed for people with diabetes but they seem to help a little. I got them at Walmart.

Re: swelling.
I made DH massage them every night. 20 minutes of massaging for him is nothing to having to walk around with it 24/7.
It wasn't the typical massage though, he would really concentrate on pushing the fluid up and out.

As long as i am sitting they are elevated - the water has no where else to go but back in so keep 'em up!!
