Time off of Work

My tests and treatments take a lot of time as im sure yours do too. as most of us are likely working how do you deal with that? do tell your management about these personal matters? do you call in sick if so is is a plnned sick day that they know about in advance or no? vacation? personal days?

i was just gogin and not sayign anythign and then workgin thru lunch to make up the time. it was fin but then it got to be too much. i constatly had band aids on my arm and sometiems had longe appointments if i had to wait at the drs office. so i told 2 people in magement what what happening. they have been very supportative. when i went for my HSG i took a half of a sick day but they knew.
i was going to a NYC gynr and wanted one on LI. so i found one but my first apt is at the end of this month. just for a pap. in the meantime i have been going to a fertility dr in NYC for my pregenancy troubles. for my first apt with my new LI dr i wil lhave to leave work early to make my appointment. she was very busy and gettign an apt was hard. im thinking of taking another planned .5 sick day. what does everyone else do?

Re: Time off of Work

I have the most fanatastic boss. They are very understanding of my time off, and have OKd me to work from home whenever I need to

The flip side of the coin is that I give as much as I can back - I sometimes have to put in a few hours on teh weekend, but I have complete remote access, which makes it easier. I am also in a position that I really just need to make deadlines and nobody really cares how I make them

Its a huge burden off to have this on my side

I also have bruises all over my arm, but nobody ever notices - I honestly think people are pretty much oblivious Chat Icon

Re: Time off of Work

I work for a very small company - so I told my boss and peers. Everyone has been extremely understanding and I have taken a LOT of time off.
