would you take the money if you knew that people from your past would re-surface and want your "help"?
i've seen/heard this happen to lotto winners.
would you take the money knowing who would come out of the woodwork?

Yea I don't know... a lot of people who have won the lottery say that they wish they never did b/c of this.
I couldn't imagine anyone coming out of the woodwork in my family... so i'd take the $$!

nobody would know if I won lotto. Only DH and my immediate family. If they told a soul, they would get nothing.
the only other people would be my attorney and financial advisor.

I had the same idea, until I found out that lottery winners names are public knowledge.

This is funny. My best friend has told me repeatedly that if I ever come into any kind of 'real' money, she is going to assign herself the guardian of it. And I would TOTALLY let her. The reason is that I am a sucker. I would wind up giving every dime away and leave myself with nothing. It has happened.
