am I the only one worrying...

I have more and more irrational fears like something is going to happen to either DH or I before this baby is born...

Tonight I'm totally annoyed b/c I knew DH was going out after work and he said he'd be home at 7pm...I was like "yeah right, that means 8 or 9" and he said well, maybe, I'll see how I feel...I didn't care at all, but I said, just do me a favor and call me if its going to be later than 9pm?? And still...no phone call and its almost 10pm. I'm so annoyed...

I've told him I've been worrying more b/c of the baby coming and I fear something bad happening and he still can't pick up the friggin cell phone just to let me know he's OK?? Its not like I asked him to call if he was going to be a minute late, KWIM?? Am I being irrational????

I feel the same way!!!! I'm scared to death everytime DH goes out, even just to work. Yesterday he was in an accident, but he wasn't hurt. Thank God!!! But it just solidified my fears!! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I havent had any iirrational fears but of it makes you feel any better I am PO'ed at DH too. He was supposed to take me out to dinner and then he called and said that he was going out with people from work. THEN he calls at 7:50, says he just missed the train and said he'd be on the 9:15. Um...does he think I don't know there's an 8:15 train too! If he wanted to stay out - just say so! Chat Icon

Im not really like this with my DH..probably b/c with him being off for the summer we are basically together 24/7..but I am with the kids. I am pretty neurotic to begin with but Im a lot worse than normal.

I don't think you are alone with the whole worrying thing...and I don't think you are being irrational at all. He could have at least called...

My worries have been slightly different. I have had thoughts of dying...and I that the baby is not 100% healthy...and although we will love her regardless I'm just so scared. I give so much credit to parents raising kids with any type of problems or disabilites, because I imagine it is hard work.

I can only hope and pray that she is 100% healthy. Those are my worries...even though the tests I had done said everything was ok.

no i worried pre-baby anyway because dh has a risky job but now i worry alot more. If you asked him to call if he was going to be later than expected - he should have called. Chat Icon

I'm not so much worried that something is going to happen to us, but I do worry about everything being ok with the baby...I have this irrational fear of him being wrapped up in the umbilical cord...I try to shake it off but I think about it pretty often...I guess its natural to worry...we'll be worrying all our lives now lol

I have to agree with this one - I worry about alot , even though worrying about the baby won't change a thing.

I havent had the worrying about DH. He checks in frequently to let me know he's doing ok so I may have a false sense of comfort. However the baby is a different story-umbilical cord issues, HR issues, positional issues since my Aunt in law had a baby who has leg issues due to leg positioning in utero-ughh I get scared cause everyone including doc says I am carrying small so no room in tummy.Chat Icon

I do find myself worrying more about DH and being safe (even though I always did) and also I am having weird dreams about the baby being safe. Last night I dreamt that a huge navigator was backing out of a parking spot just as I was walking behind with the stroller. Then I woke up horrified....I can't wait until these dreams end.

I worry about DH a lot, and I've become a real annoying passenger in the car. I'm constantly telling him to slow down, and he doesn't drive that fast or recklessly!

I'm sorry you are so worried. Have you told him about your fears? However irrational they may seem, maybe he'll make more of an effort to come home on time or call if he knows how you feel.
