DH has been driving my "old" VW Golf around and it overheated again!

This is what happened exactly a month ago today! I am now kicking myself that I haven't sold it yet! NOW this will be another $500 down the drain Last time the water pump exploded because the casing around it broke...wonder what it is this time! This car is a freakin curse

ETA...the car is only 5 years old

Ugh that stinks Kathleen!! I hope it's not a lot of $$.

I haven't heard anything good about VW. The few people I know that have owned them have had major problems... my sister being one of them.

My sister leased a brand new VW Jetta for 3 yrs. Within the 3 yrs....

break lights always out.

the driver's side window fell into the door.

she was driving on the highway one day and the car just shut off. They never found out why. It happened again a couple months later. She stopped driving it after that and waited for the lease to end.

Her entire side mirror flew off for no reason.

She tried to turn on her car one morning and it woudn't start and she noticed a flood of water on the floor... she didn't have any water bottles back there, her windows weren't open and it didn't rain. They never found out why that happened.

She thought she had a "lemon" but after speaking with a lot of people it seems many have problems like these.

Yeah my friend hates her Jetta-she said she would be driving and the windows would start going up and down :(

Damn water cooled VW's. Love my Beetle - No water Pump, no radiator, no thermostat, no anti freeze to worry about
