ARRRGGHH!!! I AM SO MAD
DH and my best friend's DH are friends. My DH had done a bunch of favors for her DH (lets call him PA). Everytime DH has asked PA for a favor he backs out.
Well now we are moving- and months ago he said that he would help us move. So we want to move next SUnday 10/31 and yesterday DH asks PA to help him move. And he says sure. Today he called DH back and says he can't help him because they are going away. So DH says what about when you come back- NO. What about MOnday. NO. Maybe I can do this Tuesday- so for week we have to live with nothing our apt??!!!! No TV- no Radio- no nothing???!!!! I'm pregnant!!
I am SO MAD!!!

I hope your DH now stops helping this guy out.
I'm not sure how much you have to move but I have used mini-movers when I first moved out, I only had some bedroom furniture, tv, clothes, radio, etc.
I think it cost me about $100 bucks and they had the van and did all the work.

UGH I WOULD BE MAD TOO!!
I'd tell your husband that this is the LAST time he helps out "PA" with ANY of the favors he asks... I hate "Friends" like that!
I'm sorry I hope it all works out for you ( remember - you are not allowed to lift ANY boxes, Mommy  )

I'll be spiteful in your honor - take him off of the favor list. Uncalled for especially because you're pregnant. You didn't need the extra stress!

Thanks girls... he finally agreed to help us Monday night- we have someone who will help on Sunday- (but he is flaky and might flake out). I know I can't lift any boxes- DH and I moved ourselves last time, but this time I'm doing NOTHING but packing.
the move is stressful in itself. We are actually moving in wtih my mom for a few months to save some $ and subletting our apartment. We are not happy about leaving the city and my commute will be increasing from 10 minutes to 1 1/2 hours. DH is extremely unhappy about this- he gets along with my mom, butwho wants to live with thier in laws.
Thanks again girls- its so nice to know that you are so sweet and supportive.
ETA: I was such a ****** to DH- I was so mad. Itold him to call the guy and shame him- and tell him that he is disappointed and unreliable. But DH didn't want to be as mean as I wanted him to be. DH was right. I screamed at him! And then he picked me up outside the gym--- I got out of my class and he was waiting for me... what a sweety!!!!
