Hello!
Hi ladies!
I am posting under my TTC pseudonym, but I never got a chance to use it!
We got our BFP on Wednesday!!!!
I can't beleive I'm posting this, since there are a few people who know who I really am....
I am no good at secret keeping- I am bursting at the seams to tell our families and friends, but DH thinks we should wait.
How long did you wait before telling your parents?
I should explain, I am so close with my family, that I am surprised I didn't tell them I was buying a test. 
Also- I want to tell my parents in a cutesy way- because my mom is sooo into sentimental gestures.
She is huge on antiques- she actually bought an antique basinette in May! This will be the first Grandchild for them....
Any ideas?
I'm so excited!!! It's great to be here.
Oh- and by my calculations, I am in my 6th week. I have my first Dr. appointment today!

Firstly, Congratulations!!!!
We told our families the same day that we got our BFP! I didn't tell my friends right away though, and I waited till about my 10th week to tell work.

Congrats and welcome!!  
I got my BFP the Thursday before Father's Day, so we waited til Father's Day to tell my parents. We gave them a Father's Day card that said "Happy Father's Day Grandpa and Grandma!"
We simply told my inlaws when we saw them the next week.
We still haven't told our friends . . . we're waiting til I'm through the 1st trimester.

Congratulations!!
We told our families within a week of finding out. I told my mom the next day - I bought her a card congratulating her on her 'promotion.' We told my dad in the middle of the week because we already had dinner plans, and then we told DH's family the following weekend when we went out to visit them. I see nothing wrong with telling your families right away, especially if you're that close. The way I see it, God forbid something goes wrong, those are the people you're going to lean on for support so why hold back?

I agree- why wait?
I think he may change his tune after my Dr. appt today.
Maybe I'll swing by Violet's Blue for a gift for the parents- I'm sure they have something perfect!

Congratulations and welcome!! A happy and healthy 9 months to you!
We told our families pretty quickly. I had my first dr. appt and told them that night! We could not wait!
To tell them, I went to Kohl's and bought onesies that said "I Love You" and wrapped them both, I gave one to my MIL and one to my dad (it was his birthday), and let them come to the conclusion on their own, it was the most nerve wracking 10 seconds of my life waiting for them to unwrap the boxes! LOL! Good luck to you!

we told our parents after our first appt at 8 weeks, once we confirmed a heartbeat.
We had pics.. and we got our parents together - it was very nice.
