Whose feet are swollen?
At 23 weeks I thought I had some time before this became a big problem. But today my feet are so swollen they hurt! I need to buy some dressy shoes and don't even know where to look - nothing fits except flip flops.

Re: Whose feet are swollen?
Mine just swelled up this past weekend for the first time, not my ankles though. It went down after 2-3 days. I already drink a lot of water so I just tried sleeping with my feet elevated on some pillows.

Re: Whose feet are swollen?
I think we should start a pregnancy-shoe business!
I don't necessarily need the length of a bigger shoe, but I definitely need the width. Everything I tried on digs in to the tops of my feet. So gross!

Re: Whose feet are swollen?
Mine...only if I am on them for a long period of time though...I should say, I feel pretty lucky it only started about 2 weeks ago...and now I am in my 38th week. My Dr said swimming helps to redistribute the swelling...so go out and swim...

Re: Whose feet are swollen?
All I can say is thank god for flip-flops. Mine started swelling around 25 weeks and its just gets worse. I'm afraid I will never fit in my cute shoes again!

Re: Whose feet are swollen?
Not to skeeve anyone, my toes have not been polished since June! I am going this weekend beacsue I have a wedding on the 3rd. I can not wear flip flops to work, but here is a glimpse of 35 week swelling... they are bad. I never wear flip flops so no one knows what the toes really look like in the shoes! Image Attachment(s):

Yes, they're common. As soon as you feel it, try to put your foot flat on the floor or the bed & it should go away. Also, avoid pointing your toes, only flex your foot when you stretch. They say it helps to drink alot of water & get more pottassium (from bananas, etc) HTH

I'm not pregnant...but I can tell you from experience, I NEVER, EVER point my toes when I stretch anymore. I've been woken up way too many times by Charlie! I've found the best way for me to stop them is to flex my feet as hard as I can as soon as I feel it coming on. It stops it pretty much immediately.
