Breastfeeding and implants...

I have a friend who is PG and is asking questions about BF'ing and implants. She got hers done a long time ago and although she requested to have them done behind the bone, she was told they were in front. Now here is where it gets crazy. The place she got them done doesn't exist anymore or may be under a different name. The doctor is MIA and she wants to know if she'll be able to BF?? I tried looking up info on it, but have found conflicting stories. Some say you can, and others say you can't.

Would it be best for her to just ask her doctor if she can or just try it out and see if it works, or just give up on the idea of BF'ing all together?

My SIL has implants and sshe breastfed him til he was 3months, no problem. I'm not sure where the implants are located in the breast though. I guess the best bet would be to ask the dr.

It's hard to tell I mean once you alter something it might not work the way it should. I have a friend that piereced her nipple and she can't breast feed because of the scar tissed the built up behind it. It actually caused a lump in the breast when she was creating her milk because the mikl had nowhere to go.

I would have her talk to her doctor.

She has her implants under the muscle, or over it?

Not bone.. You should ask her..

Then tell her you are able to breast feed 100% if she has saline implants...

Tell her if she decides to pump to becareful as the implant is somewhat tender now bc it is surrounded by milk..

I have mien 7yrs..I will redo after the baby..

But I am 100%%%%%%%%%%% not bfing..


Also tell her they MIGHT change shape after she is finished..

She wanted them done under the muscle, but doesn't think they were.

I have an implant-just one not two- and it is under the muscle. I BF'd just fine! It is saline...

(I had to even them out a few years back... )
