Re: same doctor?

Well if you go to a group practice, you would want to go to each one at least once because you never know which doctor will be on call when you deliver. At least thats how my place works.

I go to a group practice, and they make you sign a waiver stating that who ever is on duty can deliver your baby. To me, since you never know who will be on duty, I wanted to see everyone...I am actually glad that I did, since now I found one that I really like and will continue to see her after I give birth.

I'm supposed to be rotating throughout the group. I am okay with that. However, my schedule is such that it always matches with that of my main doctor in the group. I have seen him for at least 80% of my visits. For my last visit, I was not scheduled with him but he requested that I switch because he was familiar with a problem that I was having. The doctors in the group meet to discuss patients, so that they all know our charts. But my doctor wanted it that way for that particular visit.

There is only one doctor in the group that does amnios, and I had one. The best thing I did was to have one of my office visits with him before the amnio appointment. I would suggest that to anyone who has the option.

Re: same doctor?

My doctor's office has 4 doctors and I went to see each of them at least once. I was very glad that I did because when I went to the hospital when my water broke, my primary doctor was not on call at that time, but I already knew the doctor who was.
By the time I delivered, I got lucky and my primary doctor was on duty, so he actually got to deliver my baby Chat Icon

there are three doctors in my office and one of them does not deliver. My primary doctor only does c-sections and the other doctor does the vaginal births so i have been seeing him since that is what i am planning to have.

Re: same doctor?

There are two doctors in my practice, I usually only saw one dr.
When I went in for the induction, the other dr performed it and then my dr normal dr delivered the baby the following morning.
During my 5 day stay, I must have seen 5 different doctors.

Re: same doctor?

At my dr office there are 2 dr's...I mainly saw one, then near the end starting seeing the other one...just so I'd be familiar w/ both should either one deliver.
