Lovenox shots

Does anyone on these shots have a hard time with the pain? At 71/2 months I seem to be more and more sensitive to it. I put ice on it to numb my skin before the shot. I'm actually just complaiining....

How funny you should write this....I am 15 1/2 weeks and the shots just started to bother me. I am icing before and after the shot.
My Dr said beacuse of the heat you are more likely to hit a blood vessel and cause pain. The ice pack is supposed to to help but my brusing is so bad.
I go back to the dr on the 30th and will see if maybe i can move to another injection site besides my stomach.

I'm 35W5Ds and I haven't found them to be any worse than they were in the beginning. Just a pinch-I count to three and have the shot done within that time frame, hesitating makes it worse.

When I had them I made DH do the deed. He's pinch the skin and then POP.

So sorry they are hurting. Are you allowed to rotate injection sites? Are you icing for a full 5 minutes and waiting for the alcohol to dry?
I get to do them in my legs for now. At night when I am properly hydrated I smack my leg and try to figure out where the veins are. The I pick the spot for the next morning. It had been working so far except you can't see the nerves and I hit one this morning. First time the shot has brought tears to my eyes.
I was told the legs hurt the least so I have been sticking to them. I will move onto the backs of my arms when I can't find a spot on my legs anymore. I am trying to avoid the belly.

Well I hope all the girls on any kind of shots are dealing better than I am. I have been exclusively shooting my sides of my belly or my hips. The legs are worse for me only because of the bruising. Especially with a bathing suit on. All women deserve medals for what we go through.
