Breastfeeding class and DH
Those of you who have gone did DH go with you or did you just go alone? Thanks!

They suggested taking DH...I went (it was a 2 wk class) & the first wk DH had to work, but there were 2 other hubbies there...the 2nd class I took DH & no other hubbies were there & he was a bit uncomfortable.
YET he said it was informative & when I started trying to nurse he was very supportive & realized it wasn't a simple, 1-2-3 process & he learned all that it entails (having her latch on correctly, how often to nurse, how long it takes, pumping, etc.)
If he's willing to go, I'd say take him.

DH went with me. He wanted to go. He was the one that was so into me doing it. I think it was good for him to go so he knows how it works and what the mom goes through. They can understand it better... the process.

DH was going to come with me, they encouraged hubbies to go too and he wanted to. But when we got to the place where the class was and watched people going in, there was not one single DH there. He felt uncomfortable, but would have still gone if I wanted, but I released him and sent him back home...I didn't want him to feel awkward. The instructor remarked how it was weird that there were not hubbies there, she always has them.

We both went and it was all couples at our class. We both learned a lot and much of the class was geared toward how he can help and participate.
